Overstrand

East of Cromer along the Coast Road through to Mundesley

Set in the heart of ‘Poppyland’ Overstrand has a fascinating history, some of which can be seen in its buildings like The Pleasaunce – former home of Lord and Lady Battersea; Overstrand Hall and the Methodist Church, all designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. The sandy beaches are popular for families, with spectacular cliffs behind and the surrounding peaceful countryside providing many delightful walks, cycle rides, woodlands treks and bird watching.
