Hunstanton to Heacham

Set on the west facing coast of Norfolk starting under the famous red and white cliffs this walk is along the concrete promenade overlooking the Wash with views across to Lincolnshire. Enjoy constantly changing scene as the beach, rockpools and mudflats are exposed and covered. Watch waders to windsurfers, families having fun to quiet tranquillity of the tides.

Length of walk: Promenade from Hunstanton to Heacham is two and a quarter miles (3.6km)

Location: North east Norfolk, six miles north-east of King's Lynn.

Getting there: Brown & white tourist signs from both A149 and A148
by public transport: bus: Hunstanton has regular bus service from King's Lynn including Coasthopper bus. Some Lynx and Stagecoach services serve Heacham village centre. Rail: Nearest station King's Lynn.
by cycling or walking:  Sustrans National Cycle Route 1 passes through nearby Ringstead.
