Where to ride

Holkham beach
Natural England and Holkham Estate allow horse riding on the beach at Holkham, near Wells-next-the-Sea. Pay and display parking is available for horseboxes on Holkham Estate's Lady Annes Drive.

Peddars Way National Trail
The Norfolk Coast Path section of the National Trail has footpath classification only, but the Peddars Way section does have plenty to offer for horse riders. Download the horserider guide and check out the their website for more information.

Holiday with your horse

There are several businesses specialising in catering for you and your horse by providing bed and breakfast or self catering facilities for you, stables and paddocks for your horse and sometimes somewhere simply to park your horse box for a day. Equestrian events

West Norfolk boasts two international horse trial venues in Burnham Market and Houghton along with the Sandringham Driving Trials. Nearest racecourses are Fakenham and Great Yarmouth.

There is a biannual Sandringham Charity Horse Ride held in May and October which has raised thousands for charity. The ride covers 5, 8 or 10 miles.
