Explore More off-road cycling

The Norfolk Coast is a beautiful place to visit, work and live, with many well known and popular beauty spots. There are also a wealth of hidden corners and picturesque villages linked by a network of byways, bridleways and quiet country lanes for you to discover by bicycle and find your own quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle of the beaches and seaside towns.

The four Explore More cycle routes are specifically designed to show you where you can take your bicycle off-road, exploring lesser known parts of the area. The guides tell you about places where you can pause for a drink or bite to eat, point out interesting sites to visit along the way and give a bit of a clue what to expect, such as track surface and how long the rides might take to complete.

Please enjoy the unique splendours of our countryside, supporting the local businesses along the way that help make the countryside the vibrant place that it is today.

Simply click on an individual cycle route on the left-hand menu or look on the active map under 'Cycle Routes'.

Each Explore More cycle guide has 4 pages giving basic information about the ride, a description of what to expect along the way, route instructions and a map.

Some of these off-road routes can be quite challenging to negotiate due to their uneven surfaces, vegetation and puddles and therefore not suitable for little legs or for people who perhaps havent cycled off-road since childhood. Because of the natural surfaces, we recommend that you use either hybrid or mountain bikes.
