Easy Access walks

Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB)
A land of beaches, salt and freshwater marshes, heaths, dunes and woodlands, country parks, stately homes and distinctive flint villages. Residents and visitors can experience and enjoy the area in all its moods and savour the special and ever changing wildlife, light and colours, sounds and aromas. Gold and brown hues of winter make way for greens and the purple haze of summer sea lavender, rustle of a gentle breeze and foraging wildlife to the spectacular sounds of wintering geese, the aromatic scents of coast, woodland and heath.

About the guide

The Easy Access Walks are aimed at providing an opportunity to experience the wonderful diversity of the landscapes and wildlife of the Norfolk Coast - for everyone. We hope that families with push-chairs will find these walks just as useful as people with limited mobility.

The sites are based on the original Easy Access Guide of 2000, funded by the National Lottery, and the guide is web based in a format which allows viewing, downloading and printing out of individual sites. Each site description comprises of three sections a basic site factsheet; full site description and review followed by a set of images depicting some of the areas around the walk including potential hazards to aid self determination as to suitability to your own individual requirements.

Throughout the document direct links to relevant external website pages of the organisations managing the sites is provided where available, enabling access to additional information.
