Cockthorpe Common

Cockthorpe Common

The Norfolk Coast is as a beautiful place to visit, work and live, with many well known and popular beauty spots. There are also a wealth of hidden corners and picturesque villages linked by a network of footpaths and quiet country lanes for you to discover and find your own quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle of the beaches and seaside towns.

The ten Explore More walks explore these lesser known parts of the area. The walking guides tell you about places where you can pause for a drink or bite to eat, point out interesting sites to visit along the way and give a bit of a clue what to expect, such as if the pubs are dog friendly or how long the walks might take to complete.

With so many people visiting our beautiful coastline, the feeling of wilderness and space, so important for this area of outstanding natural beauty, can be reduced by too many cars, with parking a problem at peak times of the year. Why not try a day out without the car and make your own adventure? The walks are all accessible by public transport. Using the bus or steam train adds to the sense of adventure, exploration and discovery.

Please enjoy the unique splendours of our countryside, supporting the local businesses along the way that help make the countryside the vibrant place that it is today.
