2009-10 Projects and news

Whether funding helped improve facilities for local fishermen, conserve habitats and species in the area, or allowed Norfolk children to explore the coast's biodviersity, each of the projects sought to look after the environmental, social and economical future of the Coast.

The Paston Heritage Society used their grant to produce a guidebook entitled 'Exploring Paston Country' and run a launch weekend in May 2009. Their aim is to encourage people to learn about and explore this part of the Norfolk Coast through local historical connections with the Paston family. Through walks, workshops and poetry events, film showings and school field trips, the Society hopes people will enhance their understanding of the relationship between the environment and the local heritage.
