Ideas are warmly welcomed from individuals, local community groups and other organisations.
– a great year for sustainability in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
Organisations and people within the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty have been working hard developing and delivering great sustainable projects over the 2006/7 year with the help of the Sustainability Development Fund.
Sixteen applicants were offered grants during the year for their projects that are helping to keep our part of the world special.
Maree Limpus the fund administrator says “it is really heartening to be working with people that care about the special qualities of our area and its people, and who want to do something to help maintain and develop this. Often we think of development as being at the expense of our natural environment, but all of the Sustainable Develop Fund projects bring benefit not just to the people of the area but also to the environment.
As the fund moves into its third year, we are looking forward to having even more innovative and exciting projects taking off within our area, whether they are by organisations or by individuals with a passion for making a difference”.
